WACSSO influences the direction of education for the benefit of students.

The Western Australian Council of State School Organisations Incorporated (WACSSO) was established in 1921 and is directed by affiliated Parents and Citizen's Associations to represent the combined voice of parents and citizens associated with government schools.

We influence the direction of education through negotiation with federal, state and local governments, the Minister for Education, Education Department of WA, P&Cs, schools, unions and other agencies.

We facilitate the participation and involvement of our people and affiliates through developing their knowledge and skills.

We endeavour to influence the direction of education towards the views held by parents and citizens. These collective views include those determined by Annual Conference and State Council.

We believe the benefits of public education encompass all aspects of learning, social, emotional, health and physical education.

We acknowledge students as being everyone enrolled in government schools.

The interlocking triangles represent Students, Parents and Teachers co-operating in the learning process. The stylised figures also represent Students, Parents and Teachers; while WACSSO, the State Body representing all Parents and Citizens' Associations, is the complementary organisation, helping to provide learning opportunities and ensuring that each student has an equal opportunity to receive the best possible education.
