All my four children have attended government schools with my youngest having only until 2010 to complete her studies. I am very passionate about government education. I am concerned that in recent years funding seems to be favouring the non-public education system which I will oppose as much as possible because all children have the right to a free education and funding fairness.

My involvement in P&Cs goes back almost 20 years and in that time I have proudly served in nearly all executive positions of various P&C associations.

I am proud to serve all schools within my electorate and will attend meetings if and when available to do so. Fremantle East is an approved District Council of WACSSO and we hold regular meetings at least once per term when one representatives of all schools attend. These meetings are invaluable because it allows schools to cross pollinate ideas, fundraising issues and many others too much to mention.
