Hi my name is Eli Greatley and I am the WACSSO State Councillor for the Perth North area.

A little bit about myself, I am 49 Years young; married with a 13 year old daughter, have 3 dogs, a cat, fish, chickens and a mortgage, just your average Aussie dad.

I have been the President of the East Hamersley Primary School P&C for the past 5 years but involved with P&Cs since our daughter Lara started school. My wife Eleonora is the Secretary of the Warwick SHS P&C and I am also a member of that P&C. Our daughter Lara attends Warwick SHS, she used to be at East Hamersley PS when she was in Primary School, hence my association with the East Hamersley Primary School. After Lara left I was asked if I would continue with the role of President and was happy to fill the position for the school community. I think it can be a good thing not having a child at the school because that way you can really look at things objectively without allowing personal preferences to interfere with any decision making.

I took on the role of State Councillor because I believe that ordinary people can make a difference for their community. I found that WACSSO always represented the people within P&C’s with complete respect and courtesy, they are our voice and put forward our views and ideas to the people and departments that can assist change for the benefit of our children.
