I joined WACSSO in 2007 following the resignation of Anne Wright who represented the area for 9 years.

I have been a resident of the Kimberley town of Kununurra since 1983 and have three children who were all born and raised in Kimberley with only one child left in High school I have been involved in education in the Kimberley since 1990 holding a number of roles on day care centres, kindy committees P & Fs School Boards and P & Cs.

As long term resident of the region I believe Kimberley parents have a right to expect the best education for their children.

Educated through the government system in the UK I believe in a state education system and recognise good leadership in the delivery of service. I feel strongly that parents need to be actively supportive of their children and their schools.

Not coming from a background of community involvement I have found my involvement extremely rewarding and informative if initially intimidating.

Over the last 25 years I have become familiar with many of the challenges and rewards of living in the Kimberley, through my involvement in the family operated businesses and my community involvement, I hope that this will help me represent parents of the Kimberley well.

While distance prevents me from attending P & C meetings individually I look forward to hearing from P & Cs.
