I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead of me with becoming the State Councillor for the East Pilbara.

I live in the Pilbara on a cattle station with my husband and two daughters. The girls attend the Port Hedland School of the Air with me as their home tutor.

I have been involved with my P&C as the treasurer since 2004 when our eldest daughter started kindergarten.

Being a home tutor has made me aware of what kind of education our children are getting and feel that every person needs to be able to express any concerns that they might have with the education their child/children are getting. This was one of the reasons why I became a Councillor.

With living in a rural and remote area I strongly feel that we need to be heard when the situation arises.

I hope to meet or hear from many of the members in the P&Cs in my electorate in the near future and to represent them as best I can.
