2022 WACSSO Annual Conference

'Strengthening the Road to Resilience'

This year’s Conference was one of the best attended to date, with over 350 delegates, speakers, sponsors and special guests attending the event at Crown. Delegates provided overwhelmingly positive feedback on their experience, with many highlighting the quality of speakers and exhibitors, as well as the incredible student talent, as their favourite items. Conference keynote speaker, Rabia Siddique, gave an incredibly moving call to action to delegates. Despite the capacity crowd, you could hear a pin drop as Rabia addressed the room and detailed her story of courage, resilience, and the power of community. Engaged discussion followed during the AGM and Agenda component of the day, before delegates headed to workshop sessions.

Day two provided more opportunities to learn and network and the event concluded with detailed data analysis on the voice of our young people by the second keynote, Jacqueline McGowan-Jones, Commissioner for Children and Young people. We thank and acknowledge the sponsors of this event, the full list of which is available here. If you haven’t already logged on to see the photos from this event, click here.
