Your councillor is Rob Fairholme

My name is Rob Fairholme, I am the WACSSO State Councillor for Joondalup East.

I am currently President of Duncraig SHS P&C, where my daughter attends. I have served on that P&C for 4 years and this year I am standing for my 3rd year as President. I have re-joined the Woodvale PS P&C, as per WACSSO stipulations for eligibility to become a State Councillor. I served on that P&C for 5 years acting as VP for a couple of years and as Grounds Committee Coordinator.

I have also served (in many cases continue to) in various capacities on a few local community sporting committees where I have either coached my daughter or played myself. These have included – Wanneroo-Joondalup Teeball Club, Woodvale Football Club and Carine Cats Ball Club. I have also been a member of the Teeball Assoc. of WA committee. In my spare time I am a member of my local Archery Club’s committee and a mentor for EdConnect.

I was born in Zambia in Africa, my mum and I moved to Mt Isa in Queensland in 1981. We moved to WA in 1986, where I was educated at Christ Church Grammar School, I also attended ECU completing most (but not all) of my Bachelor of Education. I have been married for 23 years, have 1 daughter and have lived in Woodvale for 12 years.

I currently work casually as a Handyman/Gardener at Western Australian Primary Principals Assoc. in Leederville and part time at Aveley Primary School near Ellenbrook also as Handyman/Gardner.

With my experience living locally and having served within this community, I am well placed to serve the affiliates in the Joondalup East electorate as their State Councillor. I immensely enjoy attending WACSSO State Conference annually and feel that I have a lot to give towards that community. I have several specific P&C engagement and involvement goals as councillor I aim to achieve. I look forward to discussing these goals while attending as many P&C meetings within the electorate as is humanly possible. Online or in person.
